Four Star is a Dragon Ball card scanner and price guide made and run by Black Labels Only LLC ("we", "us"), which is responsible for the personal information it handles. It keeps as little about you as it can to do that. This page says what it keeps, why, and how to remove it. Four Star has no advertising and does not sell personal information.
Your account
You sign in with your email address and a one-time code. Accounts are run by Clerk, our sign-in provider, which holds your email address. Four Star's own database knows you only by the account id Clerk gives it; it does not store your email address or a profile.
What Four Star keeps
- Your scan history: each card a scan identified, when, and its values on that day. You can remove a scan or clear the history at any time.
- Your subscription: the plan, its dates and whether it renews, as the App Store or Google Play reports it through RevenueCat. Four Star never sees your payment details.
- For a Dealer plan, which accounts share it. Staff appear to the Dealer as a shortened email address, looked up when the list is shown and never stored.
- For a Dealer plan, each scan session once it ends: its cards, their values when scanned, the offer percentage and who ran it, shared with everyone on the plan so any of them can reopen its summary. The one who ran a session, or the subscriber, can delete it.
- Your settings, such as a Dealer's buylist percentage, kept with your Clerk account.
Photos
The scanner matches a card's artwork on your phone. When editions share the same artwork, or a card can't be placed, a picture of the card is sent to Four Star's server and read by Claude, Anthropic's AI model, to find the card's number, rarity and stamps. Pictures are used for that read only. Four Star does not keep them; Anthropic handles them under its commercial terms for API customers.
What stays on your phone
A Dealer's session while it runs, and a Dealer's trade, are kept on the phone. Price sheets are made on the phone and shared only where you choose to send them.
Deleting your data
Delete your account in the app (Settings, Account). That removes your scan history, any Dealer seats, the sessions you ran (and, for a Dealer's subscriber, the whole team's), and your Clerk account. A record of subscription events, naming your account id but not your email, is kept as a financial record. A subscription is billed by the App Store or Google Play, so cancel it there as well, or it keeps renewing.
Children
Four Star is not directed at children under 13.
